Book Suggestions Thread

I have decided to open up a year-round book suggestions thread, rather than a monthly one. It'll probably make things easier.
So, if you have any classics that you would like to read in an upcoming month, post a reply here! And if you don't have a Goodreads account, you can post book suggestions on the Facebook page, or here if you want.

March Books

Ok, we now have our two books for the month picked out! Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy and Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. You can now choose one, or both, and start reading. I'll start up some discussion topics in the Goodreads group shortly.

March Poll Issue...

We had a little problem with the poll. There was a tie between Little Women and Beowulf for the second book, so please, go take the tiebreaker poll.

One book was selected though, and that was Anna Karenina! So if you plan on reading that book this month, feel free to start now!

March Books Voting

Time to vote! The poll is on Goodreads this month, as most (okay, ALL) of our members are on there. So please, within the next two days go and vote on which books we should read in March.
I only got one suggestion from someone, so I had to pick three other books. Which I have no problem with, I just want to make sure we read books that everyone wants to read.

March Book Suggestions

Now that it is the last week of February, I think it is time to ask you guys for suggestions for next month's books! If you have a classic that you think we should read next month, just post a comment with it! You can list up to two. Then on Friday I will create a poll with some or all of them, depending how many you all list.
So post your suggestions here, or on the Goodreads group forum!

February's Books

This month, we will be reading:

Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.
Decide which one you want to read, and get started! If you're feeling ambitious, why not try reading both?

Hello there! This book club will be all about reading all of the classics!
Every month, we will have a poll on what books we should read for the month. The two with the highest votes will be the books we read. We're doing two a month, so you have the option of which one you want to read, though you can read both, if you want!

I'm still thinking about what to do with reviews, so for now, I'll make a blog post titled "Reviews for _____" (____ being the book read) where you can comment with a link to your review on your blog. If you do not have a blog, that's fine. Just post a comment with your review.
There will also be a discussion board on the Facebook and Goodreads group where you can talk about the books as you read them.

To join, just follow this blog and/or join the Facebook group and/or the Goodreads group. Whichever way works best for you.

So please, join this club, and have fun reading the classics! Don't forget to vote on this month's books in the sidebar! The poll ends on Wednsday (though I may extend it to Saturday or Sunday, if we need to.)
